ABOUT
Dwight Forseth is a singer-songwriter who has been involved in music for most of his life. His gravelly yet intimate voice has a place to shine while complimenting his love for the acoustic guitar. Dwight likes themes of real life, the tension, the irony, and the wide swings of human emotion. Humour is good medicine and Dwight loves a healthy dose which he likes to bring into his performances.
Feeling at home in roots, folk, blues, country, rock, and soulful ballads, his songs showcase a deep understanding of the human experience, tackling themes of love, loss, and self-discovery that linger in the hearts of his audience. Dwight has had the privilege to share the stage with the likes of The Travelling Mabels, John Wort Hannam, Bruce Innes and Paul Rumbolt.
While being a seasoned performer, Dwight has also played many different roles as an owner/operator of a home digital recording and arts studio (the furnaceroom studio) with his wife Lisa. Dwight has been a part of the Okotoks Acoustic Foodbank Concert committee as a performer and audio tech for 13 + years. He has also hosted numerous events, including the 2022 and 2023 fundraisers with the incredibly talented Jim McLennan! Dwight is also a part-time music director in beautiful Okotoks, AB.
Dwight has a studio album out (2015) and is about due for another. To listen or buy you can find it on iTunes, Cd Baby and Apple music.
